Who We AreMr. Nick Klein

In 1993, our large fieldhouse was built, and the staff felt that they should use this extraordinary facility to its highest potential. Nearby, the Morris shootout included larger high schools from the area playing summer basketball. The Reed-Custer staff decided they wanted to tap into the shootout atmosphere, so they created the Boys Varsity Braidwood Shootout which was an opportunity for smaller high schools in the area to compete. It was started by the then director of the Fieldhouse, Steve Adrian. Once Steve Adrian retired, the position of Fieldhouse director, High School Athletic Director and Middle School Athletic Director became one Position. The current District Athletic Director and Director of the Fieldhouse is Mr. Nick Klein. Mr. Klein has an amazing staff including the athletics secretary, Andrea Brodinski, and the High School Assistant Athletic Director, Andy Gleixner. They work along side him, tournament employees and the many dedicated volunteers to help keep the tournaments running smoothly leading up to and throughout the three days of the tournaments.
